In Florida once a student in the special education system graduates from high school, usually at 22, they then transition into either job placement or a social group setting – or for many they just simply stay home. With very little social interaction and practically zero physical activity these adults specifically those with Down Syndrome have an extremely high propensity for obesity and other health issues as well as isolation and depression. We at MarshMellow Dreams are creating opportunities within the community to change that. Everything from social interaction, life skills, job training and sometimes just fun. Thats what makes a fulfilling and well rounded life.
We rely exclusively on sponsors, donations and grants with 100% going back into the programs.
